Lahore: A new problem has arisen for the people of Pakistan, now the monthly garbage tax will also be collected from the citizens and businessmen.
According to the details, the Standing Committee of the Punjab Cabinet has approved the imposition of garbage tax in the province.
In rural areas, Rs 20 will be levied on a five-marla house, Rs 40 on a ten-marla to one-kanal house, Rs 300 on small businesses in villages, Rs 300 on shops, Rs 700 on medium-sized businesses, and Rs 1,000 on large businesses.
In the urban population, a monthly tax of Rs.300 will be levied on a five-marla house, Rs.500 to Rs.2,000 on a ten-marla to one-kanal house, and Rs.5,000 on a house larger than one kanal.
Apart from this, a monthly tax of Rs 500 will be levied on small businesses, Rs 1,000 on medium businesses and Rs 3,000 on large businesses.
