The Council of Ministers in Kuwait approved a comprehensive plan to deal with traffic congestion.
In the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Kuwait, various proposals were reviewed and an important project related to traffic jams was also approved.

The plan includes implementing flexible working hours to deal with traffic jams, encouraging the use of transport buses for school students and addressing traffic hotspots with 39 development proposals.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has been tasked with submitting a final report by February 1, 2025, outlining the details of the plan, steps taken and timelines.
Long-term initiatives include prioritizing road network projects, such as the Second, Third and Fourth Ring Roads, Damascus Street, and Faheel Expressway.
The plan also includes developing a regulatory framework for public transport, speeding up decisions on metro systems, and exploring smart transportation solutions.
The Council emphasized the need for coordination among government agencies to ensure a strategic and sustainable approach to managing traffic congestion, coordinating public transportation improvements, and expanding road infrastructure.
