Lahore: Bano Butt won the gold medal in the women’s final of the Mixed Martial Arts Asian Championship. 


According to Aaj Ki Aawaz News, Pakistani fighter Bano Butt won the gold medal in the women’s final of the Mixed Martial Arts Asian Championship.

Banu Butt defeated her opponent from Kazakhstan in the final.


Bano Butt defeated Kazakhstan’s fighter Gulnaz in the 47.6 kg category, Bano Butt won Pakistan’s only gold medal at the championships.


Bano Butt became the first Pakistani woman to achieve this feat in the history of IMMAF.


In the men’s finals, two Pakistani fighters fell short, both deserving of silver medals.


Zeeshan Akbar was defeated by a Kyrgyz fighter while Abdul Manan was subdued by a Tajik player.


Zeeshan Akbar says it doesn’t matter if it’s gold or silver, getting into the ring for the competition is a big achievement.
