Avastin injection will be sold only at registered pharmacies, authorized distributors will be able to supply the injection to government hospitals, registered ophthalmologists.
The Department of Health says it will be necessary to have a place like an operation theater to fill the injection into a syringe.
Hospitals registered with the Punjab Healthcare Commission will be able to purchase ovastin injection, video of ovastin injection will also be recorded.
It should be noted that last year, more than 70 patients lost their vision due to ovastin injection.
