ISLAMABAD: Traders announced a nationwide shutter-down strike on August 28, demanding that the trader-friendly scheme be withdrawn immediately.
According to the details, Central Organization of Trade Unions and All Pakistan Anjuman Trade Unions announced a nationwide shutter down strike on August 28 while holding a joint press conference.

The business leader demanded that the trader-friendly scheme is unworkable, be withdrawn immediately and the decision to impose heavy taxes on the export sector be withdrawn.
The traders further said that the increase in the income tax slab for the salaried class and traders should be withdrawn.
It should be remembered that the traders had demanded the government to revise the contracts with the IPPs while announcing the non-payment of electricity bills for August.
