Karachi: New taxes have been implemented in Sindh from today, under which the Sindh government will charge 250 rupees on domestic flight tickets, while a tax of 1,000 rupees has been applied on international flight tickets.

According to the details, new taxes have been implemented in Sindh from today, in this regard, the Sindh Finance Department will issue a notification.

Sindh government will collect additional tax of 76 billion rupees in the new financial year, tax will be collected from educational institutions, hospitals, insurance companies, petrol pumps.

The Sindh government will charge Rs 250 on domestic flight tickets, while a tax of Rs 1,000 has been applied on international flight tickets.

A tax of 5 thousand rupees will be imposed on allotment order or renewal, while a tax of 2 percent will be charged on real estate, land, shops or flats and a tax of 5 thousand rupees will be imposed on partnership in any business.

A tax on renewal of insurance and a provincial tax of Rs 5,000 will be levied on ship insurance.

Tax on life insurance, building insurance, crop and property insurance and power of attorney for immovable property will be taxed at Rs.5 thousand.

A tax of 3.5 lakh rupees will be imposed on cars and jeeps above 3 thousand cc and 5 thousand rupees on locally manufactured 2 thousand cc vehicles.

An annual tax of Rs 2,000 has been imposed on all professionals, while an annual tax of Rs 20,000 will be imposed on all petrol pumps, CNG stations and farm houses, private hospitals, clinics, guest houses and fashion halls.

Apart from this, a tax has also been imposed on educational institutions charging an annual fee of more than 5 lakh rupees and a tax has also been imposed on veterinary hospitals, games centers.
