Islamabad: Since the beginning of the new financial year, taxes have been increased on the public, which items have to be taxed?

According to the details, the new taxes under the Finance Bill 2024 for the financial year 2024-25 have been applied from today, instead of the fixed tax, the tax has been imposed based on the value.

At the beginning of the financial year, taxes were imposed on vegetables, fruits and other necessities of life by heaping taxes on the people.

Ten percent duty has been imposed on the import of live chicken and live fish, while 10 percent duty has been imposed on petrol and diesel, 5 percent on natural gas imports, 30 percent on mineral water, 40 percent on coffee, and 25 percent on milk.

According to the new taxes, 10% import duty has been imposed on vegetables, 20% on yogurt, 50% on cheese, 30% on honey, 10% on banana, 15% on malt, 15% on apple, and 30% on fruits and nuts.

The duty has been imposed while 20% import duty has been imposed on tomato and 35% on potato.

25% import duty was imposed on dates, 30% on cherries, 30% on corn, 25% on wheat flour, 25% on flour, 20% on pasta, 20% on cakes, biscuits.

18% GST has also been imposed on canned milk for infants.

18% GST has also been imposed on ordinary packets of milk, 18 to 25% GST has also been imposed on the purchase of mobile phones.
