The Petroleum Dealers Association has announced the closure of petrol pumps from 6 am on Friday.
According to President Petroleum Dealers Association Abdul Sami, meetings were held with the Finance Minister, Chairman FBR and Chairman OGRA, but no result could be reached in the negotiations.
He clarified that a strike will be held and pumps across the country will start drying from tonight.
14 thousand dealers across the country will keep their pumps closed on July 5.
He said that an advance tax of 0.5% was imposed on dealers in the budget and repeatedly demanded the government to withdraw the tax.
