According to Aaj Ki Aawaz News, Karachi Electric (K Electric) has cut off electricity to all departments of the Railway Department due to non-payment of dues, which has stopped the work in the loco shed and is likely to affect train operations.
In this regard, the sources said that K Electric has cut off electricity to railway colonies in addition to Karachi Cantt and City stations for non-payment of dues of more than two crore rupees.
Due to non-supply of electricity, the work of railway booking office, engine loco shed and washing line has been affected and sources say that if engines are not supplied from the loco shed, the operation of trains will be delayed.
