Punjab has implemented a new teacher transfer policy, according to sources in the School Education Department.
Teachers will have the chance to ask for transfers at any time of the year on hardship reasons, such as infirmity, widowhood, divorce, or long-distance situations, under a new policy that Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat authorized.

The specifics of the policy include that inter-district and wedlock transfers will be available all year long, while general and mutual transfers will only be approved twice a year.
All promotions will be finished in 30 days under the new policy, and district committees will have the same amount of time to deliberate on applications.
