ISLAMABAD: Dozens of senior officers in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) have been relieved of their posts and the services have been handed over to the FBR admin pool.
According to the details, dozens of senior officers in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) were removed from their posts on the instructions of the Prime Minister.
Sources said that 27 officers of grade 20 have been relieved of their posts and the services have been transferred to the FBI administrative pool.
Sources said that the officers were removed from their posts based on intelligence reports and 16 of the Inland Revenue Service Grade 20, 11 of the Customs Group Grade 20 have been dismissed.
After the approval of the Prime Minister, the notification for the removal of the officers from the posts in FBR has been issued.
The notification said that Pakistan Customs Grade 20 Collector Appeals Islamabad Dr.
Akhtar Hussain, Muhammad Adnan Ikram Director Transit Trade Lahore and Iram Maqbool Amir DG Law and Prosecution were removed from the post.
Apart from this, Naveed Iqbal Director Transit Trade Gwadar, Ahsan Khan Collector Quetta, Raza Khan Collector Adjudication Karachi, Umbreen Tarar and Amir Rasheed Sheikh are among those who have resigned from the post.
Grade 20 Commissioners Zahoor Ahmed, Qazi Afzal, Naseer Janjua, Commissioners Muhammad Abid, Humira Maryam and Naveed Akhtar, Grade 20 Commissioners Fazli Malik, Naushirwan Khan, Raziaur Rahman, Asim Khattak, Khalid Qureshi, Muhammad Ali, Naeem Babar, Zul Qarnain also held positions.
