ISLAMABAD: Petroleum dealers have threatened to close petrol pumps across the country, demanding immediate abolition of advance tax.
According to the details, Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association has announced to close petrol pumps across the country on July 5.

Chairman Abdul Sami Khan, while holding a press conference, said that an advance tax of 0.5 percent was imposed on the government, he is going to Islamabad for negotiations on Tuesday, if the negotiations are not successful, the pumps will be shut down on July 5 across the country.
Abdul Sami Khan said that the strike may be extended for more than one day, dealers are concerned about the advance turn overtax in the finance bill.
The petroleum dealers further said that it is impossible to run the petrol pump business with the tax, the government should end the advance tax immediately.
