LAHORE: Lahore is experiencing intense heatwaves, with temperatures there steadily rising on Monday (today).
According to the Meteorological Department’s prediction, today’s maximum temperature could rise as high as 43°C, while the minimum temperature in the city is likely to be 31°C. Today’s feel in the city is over 45°C. The city’s humidity level has risen to 44%.
However, PDMA Punjab predicted that Punjab would get monsoon rainfall starting on July 1.
The monsoon rains this year are predicted by PDMA to be 35% heavier than typical.
Southern Punjab may see hill torrents and urban flooding during the July monsoon rainfall.
