When Bangladesh plays Australia in their Super Eights match on Thursday night, coach Chandika Hathurusinghe wants his squad to take full use of their advantages in both batting and bowling.
At the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, the South Asian team will begin their Super Eights campaign against the 50-over World Cup winners.
In his pre-match remarks on Wednesday, Hathurusinghe stated,
“The pitches have been very challenging and very hard to read so our plan is to have a good start whether we bat or bowl.”
“We will play with a lot of freedom because we are very happy to be here [in the Super Eights] and anything from here is a bonus for us.” The Sri Lankan coach stated that his group will try to take full advantage of the circumstances.
