Astana: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit that the Afghan government must ensure that its territory is not used for terrorism.
According to the details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while addressing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit said that he is happy to address the SCO meeting and is grateful to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan for the wonderful reception.
Congratulating Belarus on joining the SCO, the Prime Minister said that Kazakhstan and Pakistan have close relations.
Shahbaz Sharif said that he wants the neighboring countries to sit and work together for peace and development, all the countries have to work together to deal with the challenges.
He raised the issue of terrorism with the member countries and said that terrorist attacks from Afghanistan are a concern for all countries.

In his address, he said that the SCO member countries have always played a role in maintaining ties in the region, our challenges are common, the time has come to implement the measures according to the vision of the SCO.
While warning about climate change, the Prime Minister said that the whole world is facing a serious challenge of climate change, SCO countries have to work together to deal with the challenge of climate change.
Regarding the problem of poverty, he said that the increase in poverty is a big challenge for the SCO countries, Pakistan is ready to take all possible measures to eradicate poverty.
The Prime Minister suggested that global financial shocks could be avoided through the use of national currencies, supporting the SCO’s proposal to establish an alternative development funding mechanism.
