Following Donald Trump’s conviction in his criminal hush money trial on Sunday, adult film star Stormy Daniels offered fresh counsel to the former president’s wife, Melania Trump.
A New York jury on Thursday found Trump, the presumed Republican presidential nominee, guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records pertaining to a hush money payment made to Daniels by Trump’s then-attorney Michael Cohen just before the 2016 presidential election, in a case brought forth by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Trump disputes Daniels’ allegations that she had a sexual encounter with him in 2006.
Trump has insisted on his innocence and claimed that the investigation was driven by politics. According to his legal team, they will fight the case and, if needed, file an appeal.
Daniels, whose true name is Stephanie Clifford, urged the former first lady to divorce her husband on Sunday in an interview with the Mirror after his guilty conviction.
“Melanie needs to leave him, regardless of what their agreement may be. Daniels stated, “Not because of what he did with me or other women, but rather because he is a convicted felon.”
She went on, “It has been established that he is violent; he was convicted of tax fraud and sexual assault and is currently on the criminal record. He is no longer Teflon Don or Teflon Con.”

Following her accusations of sexual assault in a department store dressing room during the mid-1990s, E. Jean Carroll, a former Elle columnist, was awarded $83.3 million in January as compensation for the harm done to her reputation by Trump.
Carroll received $5 million from Trump for defamation and sexual assault last year, according to a different jury. Trump has appealed the decisions and denies any misconduct.
Furthermore, in a civil fraud case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, Trump and others connected to The Trump Organization were found liable in February over claims that the former president inflated the value of his properties and his own net worth by billions of dollars on financial statements provided to banks and insurers to make deals and secure loans. Trump continues to insist on his innocence and is appealing the decision.
Daniels made these remarks after a number of Trump’s relatives showed up to the criminal trial in order to support him. Some had questioned Melania Trump’s marital status, though, since she had avoided the Manhattan courthouse.
In a Fox News interview that aired on Fox & Friends Weekend after the verdict on Thursday, Trump discussed Melania’s reaction to the trial and stated that while she is “fine,” “it’s very hard for her.”
