Lahore zoo is a famous local landmark in the capital of Punjab that still attracts the people for its scenic lawns and architecture leftovers .
It is situated on the Lahore Mall; right next to Lawrence Garden and the total area is equivalent to 25 acreage. It began operating some three years earlier in the year 1872.
For instance, before its transfer to Punjab wildlife department in 1982 it came under direct control of Livestock and dairy development department, Lahore District administration, and Lahore Municipal corporation.
It is a routine observed that hundreds of visitors pay their visits to the Lahore Zoo everyday.
The place in question, which is the zoo, is an active centre of a number of animals; however, no one may freely enter it – a ticket is needed here.
Apart from many other wild animals people can also see marsh crocodiles, chimpanzees, black bears, black bucks, lions and snakes.

Lahore Zoo entry fee
For adults, pass costs Rs 40 per head while for a child pass, it costs Rs 20. The entrance tickets costs would remain unchanged to the next month of operation, specifically July 2024.
