
The former president of the Confederation of African Football, Mr. Issa Hayatou, who passed on Thursday at the age of 77, has been condemned in the name of his family by the president Bola Tinubu.
Amos, in a statement issued on Friday by the Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President said that Hayatou has also fulfilled the role of acting FIFA president once in a while FIFA is the international body that oversees football.
By the special request of CAF President, Mr. Patrice Motsepe, President Tinubu condoles the African football fraternity, the Cameroonian Football Federation, and the people of Cameroon.
President mourns the death of a legendary football administrator saying that the latter’s death was a big blow for the development of football in Africa and other part of the world.
