The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has declared Sunday, July 7, 2024 as an official holiday for private sector companies on the beginning of the new Hijri year 1446 (1 Muharram).
According to an international news agency report, the circular said that all workers in private sector companies and institutions will be given leave with pay.
It should be noted that the UAE has approved the holiday schedule for public and private sector in 2024.
In addition to Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, the released schedule includes Yom-e-Arafah, New Hijri Year, Twelve Rabi-ul-Awwal, Emirates National Day and New Year holidays.
On the other hand, on the occasion of the beginning of the new Islamic year, July 7 has been announced as a holiday for public and private sector employees in Oman.
