Pakistan’s new cement costs in the budget for 2024–2025 following a 5% FED

In the Budget 2024–2025, the alliance government led by the PML–N increased the federal excise charge on cement and other commodities, burdening those who are preparing to build.

The excise charge on binding agents has increased from Rs1 to Rs3 per kilogramme in response to the aggressive taxation.

The price of a 50kg bag of cement has increased to approximately Rs1330 due to revisions in the federal excise duty (FED), which was previously only Rs1280.
In the following days, cement bag prices are predicted to reach approximately Rs1370.
